Global Security Review Article Submissions.

Global Security Review welcomes contributions from practitioners and scholars who provide insightful analysis in our core areas of interest:
  Emerging Threats: What new technologies, across all domains, are likely to impact conflict and the United States’ ability to deter adversaries?
  Strategic Adversaries: What activities are the United States’ nuclear-armed adversaries undertaking that stand to undermine deterrence?
  Arms Control and Nonproliferation: What are the major events, trends, and themes shaping arms control and nonproliferation?
  Allies and Extended Deterrence: What actions are the United States’ allies taking that stand to impact extended deterrence and why?
  Modernization and Deterrence: What is shaping American nuclear modernization, nuclear strategy, policy, and operations?
  Space Deterrence and Warfare: What American capabilities, policies, and operations in space can assist the United States in deterring and defeating adverse adversary activities in space?

Guidelines for Submission and Format

Submission Process: 

Submit your article as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) attachment 

Email submissions to: gsr_submit@thinkdeterrence.com with the subject Submission. You will receive a confirmation email from gsr_submit that we received the document and a follow up when it is published.


Formatting:
 
     Font: Times New Roman, 12-point 
     Spacing: Single-spaced 
     Margins: Set to 1” (top, bottom, left, right) 
     Paragraphs:  
          One carriage return between paragraphs 
          Left justified 
     Links: All sources should be included as in-text hyperlinks (no footnotes or endnotes) 
     If you use section titles, make them bold, but no other formatting.

Document Requirement
s
 
     Articles must be 800-1000 words. 
     Include a clear, concise title (max 12 words). 
     Include the author(s) names in order and as they wish to appear in the article. 
     Voice:  
          Do not use first person unless you were present for the events you describe.
          Maintain a professional, analytical tone.
          Write to the tenth grade level .
           Don’t [sic] use contractions 
     Each paragraph should consist of 2 or more sentences.

I
nclude a 
short author biography at the bottom of the article in the following format:
[Author Name] is a [Title] at [Organization], conducting [Work/Research/Study Focus]. [Short statement about other primary publications or productions for credibility]. The views expressed in this article are the author’s own.
Your submission is confirmation that:
     the piece is original and will NOT be submitted elsewhere unless formally rejected by GSR staff.
     you agree that our editors can make minor corrections to prose and grammar without consultation with the authors.
