This DIY approach to war seems quite the opposite of the U.S.’s years-long weapon development process, for “gold plated” high end systems, which are then deployed to smaller elements across very large, mechanized formations…. At least on land. I don’t think the DIY approach would work for modern naval and/or air warfare. But this Civ Div story gives an object lesson in why President Trump and SecDef Hegseth see such a need for Pentagon acquisition reform: DIY individuals and small groups definitely can and do move at the “speed of relevance” if not even faster! ….GLORY TO UKRAINE!
