The US really showed the way in next-gen space macroeconomic policy. I.e., privatizing more and more of it, via Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, et. al. For sure, increased R&D and manufacturing capability and capacity are especially important on the military side, as space becomes increasingly militarized by freedom’s adversaries.
